41B Cramer bullet mold???

Can anyone help me figure out what exactly I have here? My father had this Cramer mold listed as an 8mm 200gr but now I am seeing it compared to a Lyman 311284 (.30 cal.). I've already posted it on eBay as an 8mm. (are they the same?)I tried to find more info on the web but it looks like Cramer sold out to another company awhile back. Thanks for any input! ~Vicki

I dunno about the "B", but the 41 is listed as a 311-208 gr RN GC in the catalog up on castpics.

However the B could mean a different caliber as it does on some cramer molds. If the measurement of the inside of the cavity is truely .316, then it should be an 8mm (32 cal) mold. But measuring the inside diameter of holes is a tricky thing to do, even for those with experience.

Happy, trying to measure the inside of a mold to determine what kind of bullet it will produce is an exercise in frustration due to all of the curved surfaces. Just cast a few and measure them.

Yes Happy that is what you said. It came across loud and clear as did you reply. I was not trying to insult you, just trying to share my frustration with trying to do the same thing.

You said it was your Father's mold and you were looking at it and trying to measure it. I assumed you had the mold in your hand. Pardon the assumption, but it did seem logical according to your posts.
