Anybody used the #90347 in an XD45? The profile looks similar to a SWC, and my XD chewed those to pieces and mutilated the casings. So anybody had issues feeding 90347 in the Springfield XD?

It might help to list it by weight and profile. few of us keep up with Lee's #'s.

Do you mean the 90346? The tumble lube 230 gr.RN?

Nope I'm betting he was asking about the #90348 SWC weighs about 200gr.

That is no SWC, it's a 228gr. RN. Lee PN#90351.

Can you post some pictures? What do you mean by mutilated? What malfunctions were you experiancing?

Sorry. It's actually a 452-190-swc. Now, I'm REALLY sure it won't work. Don't have pics, but the casings were catching on the feed ramp with other SWC profile loads. It wold peel back about a 1/8 in wide piece of brass from the case mouth. I just thought this mold looked more rounded than other SWCs I've fired.

Sounds like you want a flat nose on your boolit. Use a Truncated Cone style boolit and taper crimp them in the case. They feed better than a SWC and are as accurate.

I was already using TC plated rounds. They work ok, but nothing's as reliable as ball ammo in the XD, so that's what I think I'll do.
