Finally whipped out the B-Square M96 mount. Drove out the rear sight cross pin, removed the upper hand guard, pushed the leaf spring out and ran headlong into the wall. Distance between both "ears" is .430, and the B-Square mount is .520, slight bit of hammering with a 5lb sledge did cross my mind...

Set up a vise on the trusty X3, and milled .043 from each side by the cross-pin, did a matching short slot to fit the leaf spring recess. Dropped it in and shazaam, it worked the first time.

I see the method for adding a rear attachment point with a "tophat", if the present mount needs it, I'll do it.

Glad you got it to work for you. I have a B-Square on a Swiss K-31. It made the scope set very high so had JiminPhx mill the top of it down.
I bought a mount for my 1891 Arg Mauser here from the Dutchman and it is perfect. He makes mounts for several different rifles if you are ever in need of another.

What scope are you using?
