I was in WalMart and they had dry food stacked at the entrance on sale.

Augratin Potatoes, Stuffing Mix (stovetop kind), Spaghetti, Red Beans, Long Grain Rice, all WalMart great value brand packaged.

Worked out to about $1.10 per package, 12 to a case so I bought 2- cases of the potatoes and 1- case each of the other.

Fast easy way to add to your food stock.

Stove Top Stuffing, and Rice-A-Roni are 2 of my staple foods. Instant potatoes, I use about 50% of the time.

Benie wenie and Ramen Noodles too. Just added powdered milk to the list too. Anyone know where I could still get the old powdered eggs?

6 foot stand up freezer with 40 or so vacuum sealed organic chickens, vacuum sealed and frozen organic vegetables (the organic farmer loves to trade ammo for veggies - cast bullets are fine with him) and a generator with 50 gallons of gas in reserve. Canned goods in the pantry.
2000 lbs of lead, lots of powder and primers, more brass and gas checks than I will ever use in my lifetime.
During the ice storm of '09 we were out of electricity for 10 days. Didn't miss a beat.

I used to have the freezers full of salmon steaks and rock fish all food sealed. I miss those days.

You can't go wrong picking up extra food that will keep. Better than the stock market.
