I like licorice, but I don't think I like it quite that much. I'll just stick with Sobieski vodka and call it good.

Starting Fluid=1/2 Kahlua+1/2 dark rum. It will kick start your heart on a -20 degree morning. Requires no mixer, no ice, no cup; drink it straight out of the container.

Get one medum size glass (I use plastic for obvious reasons).....

Fill said vessel with ice cubes.......

Pour Jack Daniels in the vessel till it reaches 2/3 up......

Pour Sprite Zero into the remaining void........

Drink it all up and repeat!!!!!

Don't shake or stir - as this will bruise the booze!!!!

Just my take on the matter

Im gonna bring this thread back to life with "Grandmas Kahlua".

1-5th EVERCLEAR or Vodka of choice (Everclear for High Octane but illegal in some States)
8cups sugar
1lb coffee of choice
16cups water divided
1/4cup Pure Vanilla

In one pot put 6cups water & 1lb of ground coffee. Boil then simmer for 45mins. Turn off heat & allow to cool. I a different pot put 10cups water & 8cups sugar. Bring to a boil for 15mins. Turn off heat & allow to cool. Strain off coffee grounds & capture coffee syrup in pot of cooled sugar water. Add Everclear or vodka & Vanilla. Mix well. Por into pint or quart mason jars & screw on lids tight. Put on the shelf. 2 months later put on ice or as I do drink right out of the jar. Don't forget to toast to Gandma Lesser.

Sloe Gin,Pick Sloes from the Blackthorn Bush,Layer them in a large necked Jar as follows,A layer of Sloes pricked with a fork,a layer of Sugar,A layer of Sloes, continue until the Jar is full.Pour in Gin until the Jar is full, fit the lid. This is a great and warming Drink and is traditional here in England.Usualy a couple of months maturing it is ready for drinking. The Sloes can then be destoned and mixed with melted Chocolate and reset, this gives you an exotic tasting fruity alchohol flavoured block of delight.

The"starting fluid" cited above(post#8) is likely intended primarily for use in the South.. In the Bitteroots after 10/1,I suggest this: 2 oz V-8, 1 Oz l00 proof Vodka (Or Everclear if you have it),1 Oz.Orig.Tabasco ...this also known as "The Selway HotStart)... Onceabull...(The high Dollar guides sometimes keep Clam juice on Hand for their white shoe clients)

Ahh Wiser's Deluxe. How I miss it. All the rye we get down here has bourbon mixed in it. Just ruins a perfect whiskey.
