Handi Rifle barrel exchange?

Hello Folks,

H&R says they much fit each barrel to the frame. How likely is it that a second-hand barrel will fit?

You can fit the second hand barrel to that frame, I have done a couple myself.
Go to GBO webpages and scroll down to the handirifle section, all the instructions for DIY gunsmithing for these rifles are on there. Very knowledgable guys on that site for these rifles.

You need to try. 50/50 it may or may not. +1 GBO. I have shimmed many myself and is not difficult. If it is tight on the frame a file will do the trick. It is not a difficult thing. If after reading the FAQ on the handi forum at GBO you still do not feel comfortable, send the frame in and have a new one fitted at the factory. This usually runs in the 150+/- range.
