Here is a 452 swaged with a base guard no lube needed, make them 350 +.

Big .452s are not a problem at all. Up to probably 325 grains is possible with the 40 S&W for a jacket. Now step up to a sized 45 ACP and you can get another 100 grains easy. I have only made the 45s up to 255 grains but the .458 I have made up to 425 grains with the 45 ACP as a jacket.

Here is the .458s. Biggest one is close to 400 grains and made from the 45 acp. Smaller one is made from 40 S&W case I think. Sizing the 45 ACP down another .007 would be easy.

I routinely make a 245-260 grain bullet with an H&G 68 profile that uses a standard half jacket. Assuming that you're in possession of a gun with the correct twist to stability it, you could make some monsters using cut down 308 cartridges since it's the same case head as the 45ACP.

It's no challenge to make a monster bullet, the issues comes when you need a gun to cycle it. Imagine the size of an autoloader that shot a 2 inch ling cartridge.

(Not that you can't do it, but you don't come upon those guns everyday.)

How hard is it to remove the rim and produce a BT bullet?

After annealling the brass it is as easy as running the brass through a BT sizing die. Very little pressure is needed.

Is there a special punch that will form a Boat Tail?

You use a core swage punch to seat core and to form a boattail in a bt die. If you want to rebate it use a rbt die.

Another question! How do ya go about making your own copper jackets? Can you draw them from disks?

Well these aren't exactly the heavyweights you are looking for, but they are 285gr flat points. I'm loading them in my 450 bushmaster but load development is still a work in progress.

How much would you charge me for 20 of those Jailer? I've got a pretty good handle on what my gun likes and I'd be interested to see if I could get them to shoot as good as my other loads do.

Wouldn't charge you a thing, but I'd be happy to send you some.

You'll have to wait a bit though. I'm still working on load development for my 45-70 for deer season that is just around the corner so it may be a bit before I have the time to get some more made.

That would be awesome! Are you sure you don't want anything for them? I remember your thread on the 450 forum and they look great! So far I have not found a bullet my 450 will not shoot at least MOA.
