That's just awesome. I am scared to push my vaquero that hard. she is the larger old style but I am a chicken so I stick with trail boss loads pushin a 240 gr about 800 fps. I couldn't hardly hold a group like that at 25 yards lol.

That is amazing really. Look at the lack of vertical stringing. That combo is right.

May want to get a grooved Super trigger. Seems like they help me "feel" that my finger is in the same position from shot to shot. That may help on the horizontal.

Try 296 with the heavy boolits too.
The primer also means a lot, the 150 just works.
The powders were always something I could not explain with 296 ALWAYS out shooting H110 for me (Except in the standard RH.)
I figured there was 1/2 gr difference between the two with H110 needing that much more but working loads never helped me so I quit buying it.
Has Hodgdon now started to package the same powder? I don't know and have no new H110 to test.
It is just another thing to test in your own gun.

Yeah thats great accuracy with a full power load. A lot of people won't push a .45 Colt like that but, in a good strong gun like yours its awesome.

I used to use h110 exclusively but I also recently switched to 296 and I have had good luck with the 340's. What is your new mold going to be? man I have a hard time keeping up with you and your molds:-D but I'm glad someone is tryin them all out for me:drinks: I lost my balance and took a tumble man that makes me sound like a old man. Anyway tore some shtuff up in my hand so the hot loads are out for a while just been playing with some of them little 300's. Keep them groups up and make sure you get your neighbors on your xmas card list[smilie=1:
