I think if the ATF allows them to make this, Taurus might finally make something I want!

It's always fun to say "Mine's Bigger!".

.620" (5/8" for those that need it) at the base of the case and .550" bore size!

Doubt it happens, but they are already selling the Circuit Judge 28ga long guns under the Rossi name and they are just about cheap enough that if a guy wanted it bad enough, and wasn't afraid of NFA weapons.... he could make it happen.

I'd like to shoot a round of skeet with that.

I patterned my 4" barrel .45/.410 Judge with 7 1/2s. It opens to 12 inches at 6 feet.

Greater that .50 cal is a destructive device. Never going to be a product.

The rumor was that they would allow it if they were able to "choke" it down to .500" at the muzzle and if a solid projectile ammo was available to utilize the rifling. I don't think .050" choking will work with jacketed, but I can see it working with soft lead and low velocity. Paradox anyone?

If they build as an NFA weapon, a lot of folks would still buy it, but nowhere near as many as would if it was available over the counter.

If it was NFA it could be a smoothbore and take chokes and actually make patterns.

But like I said above, a person could buy a circuit judge, register it as an NFA weapon, and cut it off.
