I love old relics, especially old trucks. While I really enjoy going to car shows, sometimes old junkyards are really fun to visit. I took a stroll through one today looking for some parts for my 74 F-100. I found a few neat old things while wandering around.

Not sure what this used to be, but it seems pretty solid all things considered. Alot of potential here for someone looking to build a street rod.

Here is an old International Conventional, doesn't look like its been here all that long.

Here is an old Ford that has certainly seen better days. I think this one is a goner.

If that old Ford wasn't a goner, then this one most likely is. I think its a Ford. The horn though on the front still looks pretty good though. It says Trail Blazer on it. Not sure if that's the original horn.

Here's what left of an old Chevy truck.

This was what I came for. Even though the hood ornament says Peterbilt, this is a 1967 White cabover. I remember when this truck ran back when I was a kid, and it was always my favorite. I came to look at the air horns, which will go perfectly on my Ford. They are not too big and once cleaned up I think they will go nicely on it. At least I can save part of the old truck, the rest is pretty much gone.

Looks kind of like an automotive Jurassic Park doesn't it?

Ain't nuthin' "too far gone", it just takes a LOT more money to bring them back! I love junkyards. It's like a candy store for me.

I think you may have something there. If it is it's near enough one of them "rough" thing's you can get to(You know the diamond in the......), Lot's of folks are looking for them Pre-War frame's and body's. Just the one shot no way to tell. Looks pretty solid though......

Looking again, the body, maybe. Frame never. That's a later model frame post war, say '50's or so maybe later. Underhung crossmembers a littlebit of a givaway. Being made of U styled stock another.

I hate to go to junk yards. I spend away the money I got for whatever I sold to them and usually end up spending what I have in my pocket. I bought a 3" diax36" long brass round. Can anyone say cannon?. Paid $60 bucks for it. Frank

That old 'Binder is about a 75 with a Freuhauf semi-end dump. Maybe a 35 footer.

just one here, a '41 that needs more than I have in terms of money and physical strength to work on it.
