I've got about 1000 once-fired ROK surplus 30-06 cases to decap. Thsoe primers are crimped in boucoup hard. Standard RCBS dies break (the pins that is) and the Lee hand tool takes waaaaqaaaaaaay too long. So, which univerdal decapping die is the best for the $$$$, Lee, Dillon, RCBS or Lyman or Redding. I'm thinking the Lee or Dillon tool look best.

I've had RCBS, Hornady, Lyman and Lee decapping dies break, though each company sent replacement parts at no charge. If I were to buy another, it would be Redding.

Best for the $$$? Lee, without a doubt.

I have used the RCBS and Lyman and for my uses the Lyman is easier to use.
