Which barrel is best for shooting lead bullets, cut rifling or button ??

Thanks,

I put a Wilson in my Tauras PT 1911. It was drop in kit and it works good with cast. It wasn't quite as drop in as I hoped but it shoots good. The inside and outside of the bushing needed fitting and had to fit the lower lugs of the barrel (near the link) so the saftey would move freely. I wondered if it would fit a Colt better but all is well now.

Or maybe my kit accidently had fittable bushing instead of a fitted one too I suppose.

If you want an excellent lead barrel, Kart is the only way to go. There is a reason why nearly every serious bullseye shooter (that shoots mainly lead) uses Kart. They just shoot great with lead. If you're going to shoot jacketed, Barsto would be my choice.

I have several 1911 barrels 2- Clark's , 2- Kart's , 2- Nowlin's, all shoot cast excellent ! The Nowlins are EDM rifled not sure on the Clark & Kart .

I've used Bar-Sto Barrels for years and have yet to have one not shoot lead very very well.

I have not bought a barrel since they moved out of California so I cannot give a lead time used to be 10 to 16 weeks.

I don't know of a 1911 barrel in 45 ACP that is not cast bullet friendly.
