XD-9 sight trouble

I have a springfield XD-9 (4"barrel) and want to get some night sights put on, however I have heard that replacing the old ones can be a bear to get out. Any tricks, tips, or suggestions???

They push out to the left, and back in to the right, as you look down the barrel as if shooting. They are also the same dovetail as most Sig pistols, so you have lots of choices. I put night sights on one of my XD-SC 9's and my XD 357 Sig. You just have to make sure you get the right height sights or the point of impact will change.

I forgot to mention that a good sight pusher really helps, too. I was able to borrow one from a friend who is a gunsmith.
