Hope you can see devastation and carnage in the photo left by the Lee 158-SWC-TL. 5 gr. of Unique in 38 SP cases. 7 yards off hand. Boolit made a complete pass thru. So in was impossible to tell how boolit mushroomed. Tried to shoot the flies in the head but pulled a little to the right. Lost alot of meat on these two.[u:kidding::kidding::kidding:rl=http:/ Seriously I got bored shooting paper and started waiting for flies to land and shot at them. It'd take 6 or 8 shots to get one.

Never tried it with a handgun before - done a few with the varmint rifle on the 100 yard range when it is dialed in and shooting good. Bet the hand gun would be more of a challenge....

One drawback though, I shoot mostly the 44 or the 45 and I just might get a good solid centered shot and not see any evidence on the target .......

The Clampits did it all the time, at roughly 100 yards, with muzzle loaders no less, and like a
sniper 1 shot 1 kill and off hand to boot!!!! :veryconfu :kidding:

Don't ask me how I know this BUT --I know this old guy in Maine that puts Jelly and sometimes a little Pee-nut butter on his targets and shoots the insect that land on it.
But keep this in mind---he only takes the biggest and never shoots the last one.
Now for me--I hold off till just before they take off-- I try to leave the wings pasted to the target.

'round here, you have to get a winged insect license and a crawling insect stamp. They are open for taking day or night with no limit so I think the DNR just wants $

Might have to scope the GP100. Eyes can't tell if their antlered or not past 7 yards.
