I don't know if this is allowed. Delete it, if not allowed.

Not trying to push any particular products, but maybe some of you
owners of very old firearms would like to know about this.

Just obtaining the reloadable Brass after firing the cartridges would be very nice !

A member of this forum told me about them - new to me !

Have a look at this site, if you would.

Some info I received 9-28-2011 from GAD Custom Cartridges....
577/450 reformed cases are $37.50 plus shipping for 20 Brass Only cases.

Infomation is most critical. Go first to "The Handloaders Manual of Cartridge Conversions" by Donnelly & Towsley, and an earlier book on conversions by Nonte. Many cartridges are easily, or not so easily, formed from current cartridges.

I have been making my own .577/.450 cases from 24 ga. shotgun brass.

Sloow..and tedious...but does make good brass(that has lots of powder capacity!!)

All you need is a reloading press..dies..and CBC .24ga cases..and a tubing cutter...patience helps too.

A lot of the Ten-X/Jamison brass I've got had too wide a rim...had to chuck them up and turn the diameter down a bit...the CBC shotgun shells reformed take some doing..but work very well for BP loads.

Harbor Freight makes a miniature hobby chop saw that is wonderful for cutting brass to near dimension requirements.
