Can anyone provide a close-up photo of the 452651 bullet ? I am especially interested in the nose profile. The drawing from LYMAN is apparently not faithful to the actual mold !

Was that boolit designed for the 45 Colt?...

And what might it weigh...

I am also looking for a gascheck boolit for my 45 Colt...

Thanks...BCB

Thank you for the photo ! I am going to see if Tom at Accurate Molds will make up a drawing for this one so I can get it in 0.454"!

Best Regards,

Yes, it works wonderful in my OLD Vaquero.
It works best at about 1160 fps so I use 21.5 gr of 296 with a Fed 150 primer.
Do not use this in a weak gun, Ruger only load. I would not use it in the new, smaller Vaquero.
It is my deer load so I don't know how it would shoot if shot slower.
It has poked 5 shots into one ragged hole at 50 yards and I shot several 1" groups at 75.
They made one like it for the .44 but nobody ever got it to shoot and before I could get a mold, they dropped it.
If you have a Colt or clone, there is no need for this boolit, you can't spin it enough.
It is listed at 325 gr but mine are a little heavier.
