Can anyone tell me the velocity I can expect using 25.5 gr 3031 with a 160gr fngc bullet? The bullet is dropped from a a RCBS 82019 mold.

1750-1800 fps. My 20" carbine gets 1760 with 25 grains/ 30-180FN.

Seems like a good OP. May I add to it. Anybody give me an close estimate of fps on a 30-30 load of 32gr of Acc 4064 / 180gr Lee / CCI 250m / Win 94?

I can get you close with QuikLoad. I used RCBS 180 mould and assumed 20" barrel
Pressure 34.7KPSI
Velocity 2060'/s
I have not tested that load. Your mileage may vary!

Thanx helice. Maybe I'll try to fiddle with my alloy to get it a bit tougher, I'm striving for 2200fps. I like my alloy now. It has double expansion, high weight retention, and 11" of penetration at 270yds in a box of moist sand. What is Quikload?
