Hey there fellas!

I'm wanting to start shooting cast bullets from my 450 bushmaster and I need some help. I've never cast before and I need some help. It's in an ar15 so from what I have been reading I need a taller than usual gas check to help seal the gas hole in the barrel. I'm looking to shoot .452 375 grain bullets at around 18-1900fps. What would you guys suggest?

Any help would be great!!

Sagebush7, His name is James and he has long and special size gas checks available in copper and aluminum.. I got some long aluminum checks from him in 45 cal for my RanchDog boolits and he sent me some samples in 30 cal that were long also. Here is the 45s:

They are over twice as long as Hornady copper checks.

I tried the Aluminum just because they are nice and long.

Where and from whom can one purchase cast boolits like those with gas checks installed? I need some 30 cal and 45 cal GC boolits.
Thanks,

Bash.

Read onondaga's post. Sagebrush 7, who's profile he linked, has them available. I'd suggest you PM Sagebrush 7.

That's interesting. Thanks for posting, Stealthshooter. I'd always heard that you shouldn't shoot lead out of anything with a gas system. Now I'll look into casting.

Hello? Anyone?

You might want to check with Beartooth bullets.
