Have an old large frame Dan Wesson and a newer small frame Dan Wesson. The spacing between the rollpin in the back sight and the threaded hole for the adjustment is just at .77" for the large frame. On the small frame, the spacing is just about .5" . Is this a small frame large frame thing, or is it because of the 25+ years age difference?

Can I get a few measurements for large frame dan wesson revolvers?

If I can get the city of manufacture, the distance between the rollpin in the rear sight and the center of the sight adjustment screw, and the width of the channel that the rear sight sits in, I would really appreciate it.

The longer distnce is an older frame , and the shorter distance is a newer model.
I'm not sure exactly when the chnge was made, but I can tell you I had a 1980 44 VH8 w/pin-screw longer spacing and 1985 44VH8 w/ shorter spacing. The older gun with the longer spacing made for finer adjustment.

Hope this helps.
