311041 .311body .300nose NOE Rerun

[Blammer]

I will be running the GB and we well be using Night Owl Enterprise (NOE) to make the moulds.

This will be for an aluminium mould.

A minimum of 5 orders for moulds is required to be placed on the production schedule. This is a small group buy based on a 311041 that NOE has already produced.

This buy is for a .311 body dia and a .300 nose dia. This is the only option available.

Post your order on this thread. I will keep the post below this updated with the orders. When the 5th order has been placed (doesn't have to be paid for) we will then be put on NOE's production schedule.

You may order any number of cavities available. You will just need to pay the appropriate price.

1 cavity moulds are $68 ea.
2 cavity moulds are $72 ea.
3 cavity moulds are $79 ea.
4 cavity moulds are $85 ea.
5 cavity moulds are $92 ea.

The hollow point option for one cavity will be the standard $35.
Blank Hollow point pins will be an extra $1.50 each.

RG's not available

Plain base and GC options are available.
You may mix and match PB and GC in the same mould.
Shipping to you with insurance will be $10

A Lyman, RCBS type top punch is included along with a sample of Bull Plate sprue lube.

Have you thought about seeing if there are 15 people on the list that would prefer to get a brass mould? In another GB I'm in (the 311440) that was done, and the original thought was that they wouldn't get 15, and it's already up to 18 or 19! Personally I would much prefer to have a 4c brass mould rather than a 5c aluminum one even with the higher price. I figure it can't hurt to ask, you might be surprised by the number of folks that would prefer a brass mould.

I don't know if it's just me, or what, but I find that the difference between the 2 materials is much more apparent with a smaller diameter boolit than it is with a large one. With a 30 cal mould the brass holds the heat much better than aluminum, with a 45 cal mould it's not as noticeable.

This projectile is not offered in an RG, because it won't work.

The only option available is to get the "lyman pin" style HP.
such as in the first post of the below link

You can not get all the cavities HP'ed because the pin's are too big and won't fit.

Two cavities on a 3C mould COULD be HP'ed with the Lyman Pin set up as shown in the thread above, but that is very difficult to cast with. It is probably more trouble than it's worth.

One HP would be on each of the far cavities with the middle one being a standard one. $35 per HP would apply, so $70 added for two HP's.
