Hey you guys!

Picked up another load of random reloading stuff and this was in with the lot. Any ideas what it is? I think it's a cylinder for a black powder revolver.

The only identifying marks is 651. Does that mean anything to any of y'all?

Maybe a 1858 New Army .44 Caliber Revolver? Pietta?

It is a cylinder from an 1863 New Model Army .44cal Remington reproduction revolver commonly called an 1858 Remington. It does not look like a Uberti cylinder based on the nipples having thicker walls on the cones than my Ubertis and the cut of the back of the cylinder. Other manufactures include Armi San Marco, Euroarms, & Pietta. A Uberti cylinder will fit into a Euroarms gun with only a slight increase in gap.

The numbers are the last 3 numbers of the revolver's serial number that it was matched to.
