I've been loading a 315gr lee bullet with gc over 22gr of H110 and Now I'm wonting to go lighter but still be good for hunting. I like Lee molds mostly because of there price I can be cheap at times. Or if some one has a load that would work with the boolit I have woukd be great. Eny help would be great. I'm useing a Ruger Redhawk with 5.5" stainless barrel.

try changing powder drop down to 2400 or aa#9 if you cant't find data you can use the data for a 300 gr bullet as always start low and work up. Ramshot enforcer has worked great for me at 20gr and is a very soft shooting load as far as I'm concerned

Most of my 45 Colt shooting gets done with 250-260 grain boolits at 900-1000 FPS. 9.0-10.0 grains of Unique gets that done in my Ruger BisHawk's 7.5" barrel. An all-day load that's cheep to assemble--no gas checks, and powder goes a long way.

I use similar Lyman moulds, but Lee stocks a SWC of nominal 252 grain weight (#90356) and a classic-form round flat-nose of 260 grains (#90358).

I use 23.5 gr H-110 with a Accurate Molds 310 gr pb
if you want a lighter charge try HS-6 or 2400

9.3X62AL Reminded me of a light all day shooting load is also 8-9gr of unique with your bullet should you choose not to switch bullets. I shoot that load with that bullet without out a gas check with no problem another fun load is 6.5gr red dot again without a gas check

I shoot my blackhawk out to 125 yards regularly with a 260 gr flatpoint and a good charge of blue dot. I prefer the medium loads of medium powders. Unique is a good powder, blue dot, red dot, etc. In the 45 colt I try to stay away from true magnum powders and also from the really fast powders. The 45 is a medium cartrige capable of outstanding accuracy but needs the space filled up inside the case for consistency.

Any good 240 to 260 grain 45 bullets with a good meplat going 900-1,000 fps will kill any deer grave yard deer. For such loads I could reccommend

8. to 10 grains of Unique, depending on bullet weight and strength of pistol.
20 grains of 4227

I have had excellent results with HS6 as a medium load powder.

A 250 LBT or Keith will exit any deer in any direction at 1000 fps. Worry about 'enough power'
and driving 300+ gr boolits at very high speeds escapes me. I go to about 1200 fps with
my .44 Mag hunting loads for trajectory, but in reality 1000 would work fine out to at least
50 yds. I suppose for moose on a rear end shot, that sort of thing is good, but experience
shows that you will probably never recover any cast FP .44 or .45 boolit shot at deer at
any speed over 1000 fps.

Ditto. Most accurate powder I've used in SAA-level .45 Colt next to black powder. HOWEVER, Unique or Universal is cleaner, and don't overlook Red Dot for the 255-grain and under boolits.

If you are after a lighter bullet and in a Lee mold design, maybe a look at the Lee 452-255-RF. It has a nice wide flat meplat and is actually quite accurate from many revolvers. Any of the mid burners work nicely at the 1000 fps range should that be the direction you are heading.

T Crocker--Ackley Improved? Have you tried it with castings yet? My CZ-550 is a SUPERB cast boolit platform.

I'd try that RCBS 45 270 SAA, it's a real Keith bullet enlarged with correct dimentions for a .45. I shoot 250 gr bullets over 8.7 gr of Unique in the lighter Colt SAA frame for 850 fps, but I had a Super Redhawk and with the larger frame I used heavier bullets. I tried 296, 2400 but found Blue Dot was the best for tight groups. Very clean.

Try 6.5 grains of Red Dot under your LEE 300 grainer. It's a favorite of mine. It has low enough recoil for accurate target shooting, yet plenty of power for deer sized game, out to as far as I can ethically shoot at them with an iron sighted revolver or carbine.
If you want more thunder and brimstone, try 18.5 grains of 2400.
I have killed deer, hogs, and antelope with this load, and it hits like a sledgehammer.
I think the big wide meplat on that LEE boolit has more to do with this killing power of the load, than the actual velocity does.
