I have a bucket of type metal from a corporate print shop, this is the resetable kind, not lino. Any ideas what the alloy could be? Thanks Russ

Blanket - IF it is monotype, it would be 15% antimony, 7% tin, .08% arsenic, .06%copper and 77.86% lead. If it's foundry type, it's even harder than that. enjoy Mike

I only have monotype. It's all different size blocks, each with one letter on them. Can't say I've ever seen anything I know to be foundry type. That's all I got.... Mike

Blanket,
I have book publisher foundry type, it has a half round notch in what would be the top/front of the letter as it is facing down. It spec'd out to 68%Lead/20%Antimony/12%Tin using a XRF Analyzer.
