If you were to use one or the other of these brands of barrels, which would you choose? Prices are somewhat comparable so I would assume the same for the quality, although I don't have any experience with either one.

Why?

Is your choice based on real experience or information related to you via best friend's 5th cousin, once removed, half brother?

I have fitted a good number of each and have found both to be top notch barrels.

I have two Green Mountain barrels, one on a 10/22, the other on a muzzleloader, and both shoot great. My only experience with Adams and Bennet was another shooter whom I had a little informal shoot with at the range one time, and I beat him, but not by much. I think it had more to do with experience than the barrels accuracy. Keep thinking I need to try a Adams and Bennet one of these days though.

Green Mt had an excellent rep back in the late 80's early 90's. Custom ML guy I knew built a lot of very nice and accurate rifles with their barrels.

I really like the Green Mountain barrel on my 10/22, but I haven't had any experience with the other one.

Is your choice based on real experience - - - - That would be a YES ! !

The group below was shot at 100 yards with my stainless F-54 Adams and Bennett , 308 Win., It is sub inch for 5 shots. 4 of the bullets are in about 5/8" or so.

Had very good luck with a couple Green Mt barrels. Put an A&B barrel on a Mauser action and had outstanding results. Kind of surprised me because the A&B was a sale barrel from Midsouth at around $70. Seemed cheap to me, but it shoots very small groups.

Both barrels will shoot better than most shooters. I have installed many of both brands. A&B barrels can be had pre-contoured. Have not seen GM barrels that come contoured except octagon.
