View Full Version : 35 rem
Anybody try a cast .358 158 gr. rf bullet in a 35 rem lever action. I'm just trying to figure out if I can use the pistol boolit in the lever action and have some plinking fun. Thanks for any help.

There are those who claim to do it with success. My experience with my Marlin SC is that the bore is way too large for any of the pistol bullets. The bore slugs at .3595.

Go for it. I've put lots of cast revolver type designs through mine. Getting them to feed is sometimes an issue, but heck yeah, lots of plinking fun to had that way.

I shoot 358477s in my 35 Rem but it is a bolt action M91 Argie Mauser. Try Bullseye starting at 3.5 gr and work up to 5 gr. A very good plinking load should be found in there.
