I had to sight my BFR .500 JRH in again after gluing in the base screws and changing rings.
I laid 5 shells on their sides and shot into the bases at 50 yards. I found 3 after shooting and one shot nicked the rail, peeled the brass from the shell and almost cut it in half.
I put up a bunch of black walnuts and blew all to mush.
I just can't hold steady enough but a dime would be in trouble at 50 yards if you can see it.
The gun seems easier to shoot then the .475 and 50 rounds were gone right quick.
It is so funny to shoot this stuff with 440 gr boolits.

Nice shooting, Jim!
The thing is just too much fun. I can't cast and load fast enough. Shooting at just over 3/4" targets at 50 yards and hitting them with all the recoil is amazing and the gun does not hurt to shoot.
What a great caliber.

I opened the thread thinking someone had come up with a pistol shotshell that had a pattern at 50 yards... I just had to see that!

Good shooting though, even if it's not what I was looking for :)

Neat. I too thought this was going to be a thread with patterns.

Why are you shootin those big 'ol 12ga hulls? Cantcha hit a .410?
:kidding:

I gotta get out and shoot the .475 now that it's back!

I am sure I could IF I CAN SEE THEM! :holysheep
Now just how would I find one after hitting it? Lots of weeds on my range and stuff goes away, never to be found.
Those rotten stick tights were all over me, just what good are those weeds? Bad as skeeters or gnats.
Hey, neighbor called, puffballs are out. Does anyone know how to preserve what is left after a meal?
