Roughing Reamer Use

When using a roughing reamer, how much do you allow for the finish reamer to finish the chamber? This is for a 308 Win. rifle chamber.

A good rule of thumb on reamers is to leave about .015 to allow enough material for the reamer to cut. To much will just take longer, too little will allow the reamer to rub rather than cut. This is for HSS tools....Russ
