The 240 gr molds, are they of better quality than the current molds?

I've got an older Lee 410-238-1R mold. It is a plain based, round nose, normally lubed bullet. The mold is of good quality and works great. It a single cavity and although it is no longer available, they can be found every so often on fleaBay, where I got mine. It drops at .411" and 239-240gr with clip on wheel weights. For my needs it works great.

I have the shorter version of that mold (192RN) --- it shoots well in the .41 Mag... It casts out @ 200 grains from WW metal... As cast diameter is also at .411".

Thanks for the info. I've bought 2 of the newer molds and I was not impressed. Blocks didn't line up and out of round.

My Lee 41 Mag mould is a SWC type with a short nose and a long plain base. It works good in my Ruger BH but fails to feed in my Marlin. It drops at 240 plus or minus, depending on the alloy.
