Decided I wanted some GC SWC boolits so I dug out my old sc Lee C-429-240-SWC mold and a dc of the same boolit but a much newer mold. I remember that I bought the sc at Frank's Gun Shop in Yuma AZ. in 1981 while I was on temp duty at MCAS Yuma. The dc, I don't remember, used in a trade I suppose. The dc is marked with the product # while the old sc is marked with the complete style designation, the way Lee used to do.
My question: When did Lee change the shape of the SWC from the old broad, flat, wide nose to the narrower style in production today?
I like the old style broad, flat, wide type.
