I only had a few of the heavy 358430 bullets in the Marlin carbine . I loaded a few rounds with 4.2 and a few with 4.4 grains of unique in a Federal 38 special case . Accuracy at thirty yards was much less than I expected and my handgun groups were better .

Are there any "standard" loads that seem to work well in the Marlin carbines ? Using either the 38 or the 357 case would be fine but I think I'd like to find a load in the thirty-eight special case .

Thanks guys , Jack
