I'm sure they'll make good flux when it's time to smelt.

Attack them first thing in the morning when its cold and they are sluggish....Carb cleaner does a good job if you don't have any bug spray handy.

I received a "stash" yesterday. Seems the city had been having alot of water leaks of late and they change over from Lead pipe to whatever when that happens. I just happened to be in the right place for this pile. Close to 200#; just chop it up with a hatchet. and toss it in the cast iron pot.http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/bb351/glynnm1945/Lead2.jpg http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/bb351/glynnm1945/Lead1.jpg
