Will be at a gov't auction tomorrow... I know the people putting it on... There will be a Marlin 1894 45 LC Cowboy Comp. on the auction block. My friend indicated it was primo (as are a bunch of other guns). I know auctions tend to go high for some stuff (they pay $200 for a $100 new gun)...but, the better stuff seems to go right! Ideas on price for actual value? Cowboy Comp is the 20" octagon barrel, case hardened finish, no cross bolt safety, with factory slick job (for what that is worth). It would be nice to pick it up for "tree fitty" (joke). Thanks, Scott

Look over at gunbroker for what one is going for. If none available to compare, what are the 20 inch Cowboy Rifles going for. I'd guess anywhere from $600 up to $1000....just a guess on my part.

my top bid would be 700, but I'd think long about making it.

They seem to go for 600- 1k on the SASS forum ... Since they shut down the Marlin lever gun line the prices just keep going up
