I happened to be at a tire store where I got the last haul(over a year ago) and where I buy tires. Asked if they had any WW and they took me to the shop and showed me a 55 gal drum that was about half full and some plastic buckets that were full. I took the plastic buckets, one 5 gal and three 3 gal.
After sorting this is what I estimate that I ended up with:
260 # clip-on lead WW
approx. 45# stick-on lead WW
approx. 60# steel/zinc WW(mostly stick-on but several clip-on)
The big difference from previous hauls is the amount of steel stick-ons. I have never seen this many steel WW. Probably less than 10% of the 60# was zinc. I probably have some zinc clip-ons in with the lead but I'll get those when I clean up(smelt to some) if ever.
If I'm still able to cast when I run out of lead, I'll buy it from now one unless they pass a law against lead boolets. This has gotten to be too much work at my age.
