Have any of you ever ordered anything from Buds ?
I have a 45-70 coming
they had the money 2 days ago and they are just getting it
to their shipping dept. now
seems like a piss poor way of doing business
once the money is in hand ship the darn thing that same day
Honestly..........:violin:

I've bought 3 guns from Buds, right around Christmas so it took over a week for the gun to ship. I also think the online status drags behind.

They must do incredible volume, each time my FFL received a case of guns all packaged together, with mine being 1 of them. Handguns all have free shipping, so that may work differently than a rifle, if you paid for shipping.

Their prices are tough to beat, but they don't ship as fast as MidwayUSA. Waiting for a new gun is like watching water boil, it seems forever.

2nd that. I've ordered from them twice and have been happy with price and service. They are reputable so don't worry about that. They do a huge volume of business so just be a bit more patient and you'll be caressing her soon :-D

a friends son ordered an AR from them i think it was 2 weeks from the time they sent off the money order till the local dealer called and said he had it , it took some time for the mail to get the money order down there I'm sure , they seemed happy with it.

I ordered three Crickett .22 rifles. I had to give the guy at the other end of the phone my information all three times as he entered it for each rifle. Then two rifles show up, and after a month of messing around, I threatened a negative feedback for Gunbroker.

They claimed they didn't have the information for the third gun, I think the guy forgot to hit "Save" or "Enter".

All's well that ends well...I guess...

I purchased my EAA Tanfoglio Match .45 ACP earlier this year. No issues, very responsive on questions. ;)

Most of the guns that Buds sell are shipped from their distributor, not the store. They get the money then call the distributor to ship it. Their lower price makes the little extra wait worth it to me.

I help a friend out some at his gunshop and we recieve several guns just about every month from Bud's !

Knock on wood we have yet to recieve one anyone had a problem with or atleast if they did we've not heard about it !

I can't comment on their speed of shipping as I normally don't know we're getting anything until it arrives .

Could be worse I bought a 1895 off another board, sent the postal money order and the guy went on a week vacation!! Took almost a month from the time I sent the money to the time the rifle got to the FFL dealer.
I like Bud's...

Buds's is nice, and in fact I used to order through them primarily before I opened shop a few years back. Now, I hate Bud's. They've ruined the market by setting the bar so low. Some of the guns they sell I'd be lucky to make $5 bucks off of. Guess they're good for transfers... Bad for competition.

Buds is about 20 minutes from my house so I deal with them on a regular basis. They do a huge amount of sales volume though and seem a little understaffed every time I'm on the sales floor. I bought a sweet Savage American Classic stainless 30-06 the other day and even with tax it was cheaper than anyplace else. Most of my purchases come from auction sites and online classifieds so I always have them shipped there for $10 transfers.

I've been dealing face to face with Bud for 22 years in Lexington and Paris. He always did me well on all our deals. I can't vouch for mis minions but he's a straight shooter./beagle

I have'nt been in buds since 2008. They had a store in Lex for a spell but moved their ops back to Paris. Did they open another one in Lex again ?.

I have purchased two firearms off of their "used" page.
Both were in great condition and shipping was no problem to my FFL.

I have ordered a .327 mag from them. No problems with the order at all. Shipping was slow by todays standards. But free is free.
I have a hankering for one of the .357 Rossi lever guns. From what i read it will work perfect or wont feed. So I wonder how it works with Buds when you have a issue?

Never did business with Bud's, but the Tanfoglio mentioned above sure caught my eye. How do you like the gun?

Bought my Marlin 1895G from Buds. The price was right, the shipping was a bit slow.

Gun arrived with a cracked stock. Not sure whether that was Marlin's fault, UPS' fault, or Bud's fault though.
