Anyone know how hot these get, see link below. I am thinking about doing something more stream line than my old iorn. Something like this or modify an old block heater or something. I am just trying to think of something that will work with my RCBS lube-a-matic and my soon to be mine RockDock system.

I just aim my spotlight on the lub/sizer about 4 inches away for a few minutes.

I use one. They'll get hot enough to burn you :-)
I use the same one on all my sizers.
I put it into a 6x5x 3/4" Al plate that I mount my star with a bullet feeder on.
It will keep that star at 120+, if I need it that hot.
I use it on a couple of Lyman 4500s as well.
If I didn't need it for the Lymans, I'd use a 60W Soldering Iron ceramic heater cartridge.
They can be had for well under $5 a piece. Add a cord and you've got a Great heater.
Some even have a K type TC included inside.

The part from Cabelas is the heater for the new 4500 lubesizer. It is similar to the aluminum plate heater for the Lyman 450. It is 25 watts. During a long sizing session it will get a little too warm. I used to unplug it for a while to cool down and then plug it in again but I have since got a $10 sliding rheostat in the line and it works great. I think you run it between 110º & 125º for most lubes. I'd like to drill it for Swede's temp probe but I don't think its temp range goes low enough. I made a heater from a 25 watt crankcase heater and a 6x6x1 aluminum plate. You can drill and tap it for whatever sizer you have. I even mounted an old Ideal #1 sizer on it.

Someone on this forum once mentioned having used a "Router Speed Control" aka rheostat to control the temp. I did a search on Amazon and bought one. Just plug the heater into it, set the dial to whatever range works best with your lube, and size away with no over or under heating woes.

Money well spent!

Anyone see any problems with this plan or a better way?

So if I got one of these ($5),

And wired it into one of these($20-$26),

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Router-Speed...item415d2898da

Then get an aluminum plate large enough to drill a hole to receive the ceramic element. I would basically have the lyman plate setup. I then could drill it to receive my RCBS lube-a-matic. Then I would put it on a 1/4" plate that fits a Rockdock platform and be in business.

Anyone see any problems with this plan or a better way?

That should work fine.

I'm trying to think of a good way to use one of these heater cartridges to keep the spout on a LEE melter hot enough to flow even at a fairly cold melt temp.
I'm thinking a 'clamp on' brass part that holds the heater out of the way and transfer the heat to the spout.
