Lyman 311413 Mold

Has anyone here used this boolit cast from this mold. It's 169gr gc SP?

I have a couple, but not too much experience. Try looking at some of Ben's posts. There have been plenty of them, along with others input. This is one of those boolits that needs to be launched slow for maximum effect.

I've used it in 30-06 with 20gr 2400. It comes close to 30-30 vel and groups well.

Yep!! I no longer have this mould...traded it to someone on this forum a while back...but it shot quite well in both my Savage 340 (.30-30) and my .308 Win. so long as I kept max. velocities in the 1500-1600 fps. range. According to my notebook, looks like I got best results with Herco in the .30-30 and 2400 in the .308.

Same as Kraschenbirn 1500-1600fps anything more and groups would open up.

You`ll probably laugh at me but I`m thick skinned & can take it ,but I cast this boolit size it to .310 with GC then take a larger 421 top punch & put a flat nose on it , the 421 catches the die & you can adjust length with the depth screw on the bottom (Lyman 450)

Here`s the master boolit that I set the length with .
ecellent 30-30 fodder , & yes the oglive grows a bit , more gooder for the 30-30.

I have been shooting this bullet for 45 years in my 7.65, 30-06 and 308,--- I thought this 311413 was lost forever, glad to see someone in the mix.
