Buckshot is the dude you want to ask about those things; Either he has a soft spot in his heart for them or a hard spot somewhere else. He loves 'em.

I have the M 95 carbine which is the same rifle except it takes a different cartridge. The cartridge is an 8X50R for my rifle the 95/34 had a new rear sight and a new or reamed out and rechambered barrel installed chambered for the 8X56R cartridge. Actually brass for the 8X56 was available from Graffs when I bought some last year. The 8X56 shoots a big fat bullet like .328" in diameter. Lee sells a boolit mold for it. As for J bullets I do not know where you can get any. I have seen some surplus ammo. If in good condition the action works slick and fast. To use the magazine you need the special Manlicer clips for the rifle other wise you have a single shot. I found a place on the internet where I bought 10 of them. I had to make my 8X50s from 8X56R brass.

I have a few of these and have shot them quite a bit. The 8x56R Grafs brass and clip are on eBay on a continuous basis. I have found that mine tend to slug to 0.330-0.331". The Lee mold works well, but I have also used sized down 0.338" bullets. I made a sizer by drilling a hole with a "Q" drill (0.332") through 1 1/4" threaded rod.

Hornady makes a .330 205 gr SP for the 8x56R. Grafs has them listed in their catalog. They are on page 96 of the dealer version. A word of caution - loading the rifle without a clip can lead to a broken extractor. If you can't find clips, PM me. I've got plenty.

If you are looking for surplus ammo SOG has some.
