I can't get my alloy Hi Power's trigger pin to budge. Thoughts?

I'm trying to remove it from right to left i.e. I'm whacking on right side. (Pic is not of my HP, but from one on the web).

The gun was arsenal refinished as per AIM's product description when I bought it from them. Did the refinishing process "seal" the pin, making it particularly hard to remove, or is it usually crazy hard?

The trick with stubborn pins is to use a short pin punch for starters. Longer punches kinda soak up the energy from the blow.

You did use a punch of smaller diameter than the pin, right? [smilie=1:

Hi,
A short punch is good advice! There is a groove machined in the middle of the trigger pin that a leg of the trigger spring sets in to retain the pin. It usually takes a good whack to over come the resistance because the groove has to slip by the spring leg. As long as there is no rust it should come on out with the short punch and a bench block.
