??? RCBS melting pot gas heated

I picked up a melting pot this weekend. Its an rcbs bottom pour that is heated by a soldering torch laying on a block of wood cut with a notch in it, to hold the propane torch. Is anybody familiar with this set up? age? how well it works ? is it a dripper like Lee bottom pours.

no its not home made its in the box with instrucions from RCBS. although box and instructions are hard to read due to some water damage...Mark
