I finally found one on GB that was in my price range. Only there is a fly in the bullet lube.
Taurus 441 adjustable sights, 6" barrel, Stainless, 5 shot, 44 special, stock grips, Bore mikes at .429. Now for the fly. The cylinder throats all mike at .432 to .432 plus.
I am not getting any leading in the barrel. All I have shot is Mihec's 432423 solids, .432 unsized at 210gr with a BHN of 10. In front of 5.3 to 7 gr of Unique. I don't really want to run hotter than 7 gr for now till I get used to the gun. The accuracy is quite good for the few bullets I have shot in it. At 25 yards form a rest 4 of 5 go inside a 3M note stickie (2+2)
I know why should I worry if I'm not getting leading. The cylinder throat dia. eliminates all but 2 of my pistol molds. An I'm also worried that the .003" of difference between the cylinder throats an the barrel is hurting the accuracy potential.
Am I worrying for nothing.

If the measurments were reversed you'd really have an issue. I have an old 429434 SC mold originally intended for 44-40 it drops at 433 everytime!

A gas check design I'm playing with the idea of removing the gas check and having it HP'd.

Do some searching and you may find one and designate that for the Taurus.

As for what you have? I'd take that in a hot minute if I could find one at a reasonable price here in LA!

I have a SS 441, 6" also. I find my best accuracy with the Lee 214 gr. sized .430. My chamber/bore dimensions are the same as yours. I also use a 429360, I lapped the mold to get it big enough to size to .430 and it works quite well also. I will get a little forcing cone and lead leading after a hundred rounds or so. My alloy is soft, 50/50 WW/PB, and sometimes a little softer. The gun is the most accurate revolver I own and shoot out side my three Colt Officers Model 38's. The 441 is on a par with my Python. I want another 441 and have been on the look out for one. Mine was made in 1992 and as far as I know I am the fourth and last owner.

Must be standard. I have a blued one with a 4" barrel, and the measurements are the same. Since I'm a bit leery of those very thin cylinder walls, I hold pressures down and have had no leading problems. Accuracy is very good for the short barrel.

I have a SS 4in fixed sight Taurus .44 Special. Shooting it last night I came to realize that it prefers a lighter bullet. I was shooting some 429-421s over 2400. Lots of unburnt powder and real high shooting. I have the Lee 200gr. RNFP mold and the gun likes them a whole better.

I like the 6" barrel but a 4" would do me better as a CCW. So hopefully someday to have both.
But lately I have been eying a High Point 45 for CCW. But then I have to start over getting different molds, Dies. Besides all the stuff that goes with an auto.
For you guys with the 6" barrels. Which holsters do you like? My preference is for a strong side (left side) hip. Nothing fancy just utility.
