If I had my choice it would be one of those rail guns on the movie ERASER. And if you haven't seen the movie it's 1 that is portable but packs one heck of a wallop.

Well I have a Model 29 which was probably because of Dirty Harry and it is a very nice gun lots of energy and accurate too! It was Elmer Keith that prodded me in to buying a Sharps before Quigley went down under so I saved a LOT of money and have two famous guns already. Plus a 1911 what else could I ask for? If I could have anything fact or fiction I suppose one of those small phasers from the first Star Trek would be nice. Factual maybe a Gatling Gun?

Quigley's Sharps was cool enough for me.

One of the mil-spec Thompson submachine guns in Band of Brothers

If we are going to ignore reality, mine would end up being something crew-served.

Since TV is mostly fantasy anyway, I'll say a mini-gun with infinite length belt of ammo.

With or without the paint shells?

As for me, I'd like to have Sgt Shultz' Krag.

The German's used a lot of substitute standard firearms for the Luftwaffe Stalags. Mostly older rifles and such so a 8mm Rimmed Danish Krag could have been issued...Or a Prop Master really messed up on the set ;)

Anything Audy Murphy carried to "Hell and Back" . That 1911 the Ivy League Japanese officer had in flags of our fathers.

Most drooled after Jimmy Stewart's Winchester 73'.

For pure throttle authority and rush, that back pack mini-Gatling gun from Predator.

Best line ............................probably Danny Glover"why do you always have to shoot 1st,shoot 2nd,then shoot again?",or maybe Clint Eastwood" this is for what you did, bang, this is for what you did, bang, bad guy #3 pleads I tried to stop them, this is for what you didn't do,bang". Yeah I like Eastwood's better.

1 more gun, group of muskets, when Mel Gibson took the boys to the woods in the Patriot, those are on the list.

Its too hard to pick just 1,I mean really, who wouldn't want an integral suppressed 10-22 like Stellone had in Assassins.

What about the trench mod 97's in"The Mummy"Brenden Frasier had and any 1 of those LeBelles...........

Without a doubt, hands down, Kirby's BAR from the Combat series.

Quigley's Sharps is a given considering the forum we're in.

I've got an M1 Garand, so after that it would about have to be either a Thompson, BAR or something belt fed. Or perhaps an M-79.

There are a lot that are great for fantasy-land. "Ol Painless" from Predator stands out. One that I still get a little giggle over when the scene comes up is in Army of Darkness... "This is my BOOM stick..." :D

Just for fun -
Johnny Dangerously "It's an 88 Magnum. It shoots through schools." http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQvtfHJZTUc

Terminator "Phased plasma rifle, in the 40 watt range." Spoken to a gun store clerk when Arnold is getting himself armed up.

I really liked the two Schofields that Charlie Prince carried in 3:10 to Yuma.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MERu1cC5RFA&feature=fvst

I also really liked the scene in the Four Feathers (2002) where the Brits run down the sniper who was armed with an old Snider rifle.

Caught a John Wayne movie a while back, forget exactly which one it was, but the big chase scene had the Duke in the back of a wagon, blazing away with the only left-handed Winchester 92 ever made. Or maybe they just reversed the print during editing.

Well, it's a toss up for me.

On the one hand, Rick Deckards replicant blaster pistol from "Blade Runner"

or,

on the other hand, Ellen Ripleys M41A pulse rifle from "Aliens".

Heck, I'll take 'em both for good measure.

No zombies gonna take a bite outta me with a set like that.....

In the "Legend of Sleepy Hollow" with Johhny Depp, he's shown traipsing about the woods hunting a pumpkinhead with a flintlock pistol. My girlfriend points at the gun and says "I want one of those."

Turns out a close match is about the cheapest gun in the Dixie catalog.

I always liked the guns in Joe Kidd, so I'd pick the Broomhandle Mauser with shoulder stock/holster.

Nobody has mentioned my favorite gun line of all time. It still floats around in the world guns to this very day. "The "Red Ryder carbine-action, two hundred shot Range Model air rifle with a compass in the stock and a thing which tells time."

"45 long slide, with laser sighting." -Terminator.
finding an AMT hardballer that isn't beat to death is tricky, but I have been looking, I have thought of making a replica out of a new springfield longslide but finding and mounting a giant old laser might be far more impractical than its worth. And of course the roar it makes in the movie is nothing like a 45acp.

+1 on bruce campbell. "Good...Bad...I'm the one with the gun."

for the Aliens fans, check youtube, there is a video of a WORKING modified Tommygun with 12gauge pump action mounted to it that LOOKS spot on. Sadly it doesn't fire "10mm explosive tip-caseless, standard light armour piercing round....Why?" I guess were stuck using harsh language.

The Cobra rifle from Robocop was pretty good. But the Noisy Crickett from Men in Black might actually satisfy my recoil addiction
