Hello all. I've got an old pre-war Mauser sporter (.323 bore) that has, for years, been in the safe begging for cast boolits, and I'm ready to get around to it. I was wondering about this BRP 326-200 design. I've read some old posts that mention that it feeds well and is accurate. I'd appreciate of hearing of experiences with this bullet. If anyone happens to have some that I could buy to try out, I'd greatly appreciate that also. Regards.

I don't know anything about that design. Could you post a link to it? I'd like to see it.

I do know about the old Lyman 323471 bullet. It's a very good 215-220 gr bullit for 8x57's and there's a group NOE buy going on right now.

My experiance the the Lyman is 2" groups with a K98 at 100. I've read that people have gotten groups around 1" maybe smaller with the NOE version.

Frank:

Thanks for the info on the Lyman and the NOE group buy - that may the way I go, since in doing some further looking around for info on the BRP boolit, I've now found that BRP has closed up shop. So, it looks like I'm out of luck on that bullet. It looked like a very nice design to me. I only found a couple of posts where it was mentioned (links below).

Hello,
The BRP sil. bullet works beautifully in my three Mausers, two 24/47's and a Turk. I get .75" groups consistantly with 17.5-18 grains of 2400 powder at 55 yards.

The Karibener doesn't work in any of them unless seated so deep the base is at least 1/4 inch below the neck. Usless with any "soft" lube (powder contamination).

If I were to promote a "group buy", it would be with the sillouette bullet.
