I had bought two of Mihec's boolit molds and wanted to share the results.
Soaked two phone books and put them inside a box, out of 12 shots only
recovered 6 slugs. Next time I would use at least 3 phone books to recover
more boolits. The first photo is of 2 357sig boolits, factory ammo, Fiocchi
manufacture with 124 grain Hornady XTP as my control, not cast but I wanted
to be able to compare my cast boolits with a mass produced bullet. The 9mm
125 grain boolit was cast with 10 pounds of recovered range lead and 4oz of tin,
using the penta hollow point insert. It was loaded over 4 grains of accurate#2.
The 40sw was cast with the same lead mixture using the round hollow point pins
and loaded over 6.5 grains of Power Pistol. The final boolit weight and
overall circumference is posted in the photos. I know none of these test
are scientific in nature, it is just satisfying my curiosity about the boolit molds
