After mulling it over for awhile I decided to buy a Lyman 2-cavity mould for my LC9. (356402) Been hearing lot's of complaints about their quality and I was a little skeptical but I happen to not be able to cast with aluminum moulds worth a hoot.
Degreased it, cleaned out the pot, hit it with some NEI Mould Prep and had at it. I use a warming shelf on my pot so after about 6 casts I started saving them. This one's a good mould. Didn't separate the bullets by cavity but weighed and measured 15 of them.
Hi Weight 123.8 Lo 122.9 AVG 123.3
Diameters Hi .3589" Lo .3572" AVG .3575"
They dropped just fine from both cavities. If Lyman's quality is bad,a real fine one slipped through the system. I'm real happy to say the least. Now I'll have to see how it shoots.
