what is the tin/lead that wraps turkish 8 mm rounds in a case .. looks like tin and lead ? i asked this once before. but no-one could tell me what it is .. it is a soft lead/tin like box and is soldered at the top. and is just inside the wooden box...

I would see if you can melt it at a lead/tin temp.
I have a little stash of things that wouldn't, also a nice little stash of thing that did .

i cut one up years past , it cut and melted easy enough , i kept it separated and i'm glad i did , i'm not sure if it was from the solder on it or the metal but something in it messed up my whole batch of alloy i tried making from it , it wouldnt cast worth a hoot , i'm suspecting that either it is zinc or has zinc in it , i got rid of mine but test it with muratic acid - if it fizzes it's got zinc in it ( test both the solder and the flat metal )
