I'm currently loading 9mm which seems to have shallow lands, requiring oversizing the bullet. Does .40 S&W have that same problem?

40S&W is a creature all to itself. Size the boolit .001-.002 over and you will be fine.

Most servic ecaliber bbls have shallow lands, after all, they were designed to shoot jacketed ammo exclusively. HAppily they all seem to work w/ lead bullets as well, it just may require some tinkering w/ the alloy & powder choice to get realyl good results.

which gun ?
my Baby Eagle has polygonal rifling.
I've heard Glock does too...but I've never looked at one.
My taurus PT 24/7 in 40 has very shallow lands.

Slug the bore and size .001 over is the best advice.
