Well today I had my first real casting session. I say real, because last Saturday I tried to cast for the first time, the boolits turned out okay, however almost all of them had a wrinkled ugly nose, and on many of them the base didn't fill out. So I melted them all down today and tried again.

Needless to say I am extremely happy. I was using a Lee 356-102-1R. All of them Caliper at .357, so it is a tad bit to large. Will run them through a sizer, and then I get to see how they shoot! It is extremely satisfying to know that I can cast 200 boolits for around 3 dollars, compared to the 25-30 it would cost to buy them. Overall I am happy, now it is time to buy a 255gr mold for my fathers .45 Colt, and a .36 ball mold for some old ball and caps we have.
