my friend's dad gave me this he said it came down out of a power line during a bad storm as i dont have a hardness tester i have no idea what it is, i cannot scratch it with my fingernail and it makes a dull thud when you drop it on concrete it weights about 5 lbs and each of the knobs are slightly larger than a silver dollar with a half inch thickness of "connective" tissue..okay its not letting me attach the pictures ill try later

Melt it and see what happens.
Check the melting temperature.

Well... it looks like lead.
Those big dents look like it is pretty soft in which case it probably is lead.
