Bullet jackets

I have a 40 gallon can of jackets from range scrap smelting, do the scrap yards buy that? Sorry I ask found it in another thread.

The scrap yard I use pays for #2 copper for cleaned bullet jackets. That is, they don't want to see a bunch of scrap lead or cinders, etc. in it. They also want all the steel jackets out of it. A strong magnet helps with this.

One five gallon bucket got me roughly $90.00 the last time I took jackets in.

They will buy it but what they pay will depend on how clean it is.

I got $2 a lb, they classified it as plumbers brass. It could have been cleaner I guess. Still it was money in , not out.

Hope I can get $2 a # as I think I have 200+# of the stuff.
