hello, I'm trying to decide if I need a "sharps". due to money limitations I'm looking at the pedersoli "hunter" , pistol grip, double triggers, 30" barrel. all the reviews look good. has anyone had a bad experience. oh ya, it's 45-70. thanks for any input.

One caveat to begin with ... every company in the world has produced a lemon at least once.

Beyond that, Pedersoli's are good rifles.

I had a Pedersoli Basic Hunter at one time. Mine was a light barreled single trigger rifle and it was a good shooter.

I was just a Cabelas in Hamburg PA and they had a brand new Pedersoli Hunter in the rack for $899. I have a Pedersoli "Benchrest", which looks exactly like the hunter BTW, and I paid $999 for it used! From the Hamburg Cabelas!!!!

I have one of their '74 Military rifles with 30" and DST and will tell you its very accurate. I've owned C Sharps, and Shilohs, and while the Pedersoli fit and finish won't match the USA rifles, they can be pretty competitive at the silhouette range.

All we have here in Aus. is pedersoli for long range shooting and you can't go wrong with one going by what everyone has told me. Which is why I bought a rolling block Mississippi carbine and I've got 3/4 inch groups at 50m which i reckon is pretty great :)

I use/have Pedersoli Sharps rifle, a real good and accurate rifle.
They are the Nr.1 replica builder in Europe for a very good reason:-)
